Radio Was King in the 1970's

Radio was king in the 1970's.

A while back I wrote about a time when one of the most popular local DJs came to our Junior High School dance, and how cool that was.  A few days ago we purchased a vinyl collection and among the titles we found was this compilation of radio hits presented by KCPX radio.

The songs on the record are great, but for me the best part of this package was the gatefold inside picture of all the DJs on the station at the time.  Most notably, Woolly Waldron, who had the 3 - 7 drive time slot back then is still on the radio in the SLC market!!  He does weekend and backup slots on KRSP-FM.

Radio is different now.
